Kathryn Anderson


Kathryn is a partner in our Probate & Estate Administration team, having joined Wilsons in 2006. She trained with Porter Dodson in Yeovil  and upon qualification in 2003 joined Steele Raymond LLP in Bournemouth. Kathryn deals with all private client work including probate, wills and LPAs but specialises in charitable probate matters which often involve special applications such as Grants Ad Colligenda Bona, S116 applications under the Senior Courts Act 1981 and proving lost wills.

Recent highlights

  • Dealing with the administration of the deceased’s estate which was the foundation of the King v Dubrey [2015] EWCA Civ 581 case;
  • Working for the administrator following the closure of the executor's firm to complete the administration of the estate and liaise with our Charities team to advise upon the loss caused to various national charities as a result of the previous maladministration.

Kathryn is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), speaks at various charity seminars and recently gave a talk to RSPB members about wills, inheritance tax and estate administration matters.

In her spare time Kathryn enjoys baking, cycling and running.
