Transgender parent wins right for increased contact with children

The Court of Appeal has decided that it is in the best interests of the children to have increased contact with their father, who is now a woman, the original decision having been that she should have only primarily written contact due to the beliefs of their religious community.

The Court quoted from a previous case and said "In matters of religion, as in all other aspects of a child's upbringing, the interests of the child are the paramount consideration".
