Ukraine Surrogacy Law set to Change
30 July 2018
A new bill in Ukraine, covering assisted reproductive treatment, looks set to tighten up the law regarding surrogacy in that country.
Treatment will be available for women between the ages of 18 and 55, with surrogacy available only to married couples who can prove that pregnancy is impossible or dangerous for them. There must also be a genetic link between the child and one of the intended parents and there will be a contract between the intended parents and the surrogate setting out specific issues.
The bill also defines certain terms, such as "genetic parents", "surrogate mother" and "infertility".
