Professor Calls for right for women to routinely freeze eggs

6 August 2018

Professor Geeta Nargund has called for all women between the ages of 30 and 35 to be given the right to have their eggs frozen on the NHS until they are in a position to start a family.
Professor Nargund states that women are leaving it later to try to become pregnant, which can compromise their fertility and that having already frozen their eggs will eliminate the cost of IVF treatment later in life or the need to rely on egg donors.
