Each June we run a graduate week for university students in our Salisbury office. The programme gives a flavour of life across the firm by rotating around our different departments.

University student scheme

Each year in June we run a graduate week at our offices in Salisbury for students in their penultimate year of university.

There are five places available on our placement and we make a contribution towards travel costs/accommodation.

Teams include wills & trusts disputes, private client, property, personal disputes and commercial.

The next date will be the week commencing 22 June 2026.

Right from the start of my training contract here at Wilsons I have felt supported and encouraged from the whole team. I have already been involved in a wide range of tasks including attending client meetings in the London office. Valuable feedback is provided after every task, and an effort is made to expose us to useful and interesting tasks within our training. Everyone is super friendly and happy to help where they can!

Anna Newell,
Trainee Solicitor

The main thing that stood out to me when I started at Wilsons was the breadth of knowledge across the firm. There is always someone on hand to help you with a tricky situation or complex legal matter which means that your own knowledge and experience is growing day by day. The overwhelming atmosphere is one that encourages learning and development.

Ellen Rutter,
Associate

I have really enjoyed my first seat at Wilsons so far. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help, and I have been given a wide breadth of interesting work – no two days are the same. I feel I am being given a very thorough grounding in all aspects of my seat. On the social side, I really enjoyed the recent firm-wide Wilsons Quiz as it was great to chat to members of my department I haven't seen as often.

Chiara Parisotti,
Trainee Solicitor

I've really enjoyed working at Wilsons, everyone has been friendly, supportive and welcoming from the start. The work has always been interesting and sometimes challenging, but I've felt well supported and increasingly confident as I have gone along. Overall I'm loving it here!

Catherine Fryer-Spedding,
Trainee Solicitor

My training contract so far has been so interesting. My first seat is in Property, and I'm really enjoying it! I've had a wide range of tasks from day one, including amending farm business tenancies and helping colleagues with the sale of large complex estates. I had contact with clients early on and have had several networking opportunities within Wilsons and with land agents. Everyone is also so supportive, taking time to provide detailed feedback and tips for future tasks.

Mabel Warrick,
Trainee Solicitor

It is something of a cliché but it's absolutely true – there are very few firms which offer such a great work-life balance. I spend my days doing complex work for interesting clients, but I get to leave the office at a sensible time to see my family. I also genuinely like every single person I work with, and I think there are few workplaces where you could say that.

Tim Fullerlove,
Partner

I joined Wilsons in 2022 knowing I would like a career in law but with no idea what the path to qualification looked like. I quickly realised that the team at Wilsons were incredibly supportive and helped me understand that the path to qualification was not out of my reach as I had always thought. The extensive knowledge and support of all Wisons' employees makes it a place that I would love to remain at for many years to come.

Paige Hutchence,
Trainee Solicitor

I came to Wilsons for work experience initially whilst I was at university, and the firm was really welcoming and friendly. Everyone was very approachable and seemed genuinely interested in helping me make the most of my work experience opportunity which encouraged me to apply for a training contract. Once I had completed my training, I was keen to stay with Wilsons because I’d really enjoyed the work I’d been doing and the team I’d been working with.
