Latest promotions announced 2023

2 May 2023

We are delighted to announce the following promotions effective from 1 May 2023:

Jessica Boyle - promoted to Associate

Jess joined the Court of Protection Team in December 2021.  She has proved herself invaluable since joining the team.  She supervises one of the paralegals in the team and the trainee.  Her technical knowledge is very good and will be enhanced further when she takes her Vulnerable Clients Certificate this year.  Her standards of client service are exceptional.

Alexandra Gibb – promoted to Associate

Alex joined us in 2017 and did two training seats with CT&P before qualifying into the team.  She primarily assists charity clients advising on various issues and disputes that arise in relation to wills and estates.  Alex enjoys the real mix of different claims in her caseload - will validity challenges, Inheritance Act disputes and negligence claims amongst others.  Alex has excellent legal knowledge and her analytical skills are a real strength. She is keen to keep improving and to support the development of junior colleagues in the department. Her promotion recognises her hard work, technical skills and all-round contribution to the team over the last few years.

Sabrina Price – promoted to Associate

Sabrina joined us as a trainee and qualified into the Property Team.  She is a popular, hardworking, and invaluable member of the team with an ability to distil significant amounts of information (and paperwork – it is property law after all) into clear legal documents which achieve the client's aim.  Senior members of the team all appreciate Sabrina's assistance because she considers every aspect of the job and can be relied upon to come back with constructive comments/thoughts of her own.  It is heartening to see how Sabrina's confidence has grown over the years to reflect her undoubted ability. This is a much-deserved promotion from someone who combines cleverness, commercial sense and hard work.

Abby Wild – promoted to Associate

Abby qualified into the Corporate & Commercial Team in 2018, having completed her training contract with the firm.  Since qualifying she has worked hard to develop her legal knowledge across our wide practice of corporate and commercial work.  She supports clients on share and asset sales, corporate restructuring, shareholder agreements and a variety of commercial arrangements.  She provides invaluable support to the partners in the team and has built good working relationships with key referrers.  Abby has also supported the trainees in the team in developing their understanding of corporate law.  This promotion recognises her hard work and commitment to the team.

Natasha Letchford – promoted to Senior Associate

Natasha joined the Employment Team in September 2017 having completed her training at the firm.  Since being promoted to Associate in 2021, she has continued to support the clients of both the Employment Team and the Education Team and has developed her network of external contacts and referrers as well as her links within the firm.  Her instructions cover a broad range of issues and sectors, whether acting for commercial enterprises, charitable organisations, landed estates or assisting on Court of Protection matters. Natasha is part of the firm's Information Law team, with particular expertise in that complex area and working closely with Debbie Ashenhurst.

Annie Wills – promoted to Senior Associate

Annie joined the Property Team in late 2018 from Blake Morgan and this is her second promotion at Wilsons.  Annie covers all aspects of property law and has particular expertise in advising large estate clients and high net worth landowners – where she works closely with our Private Client Team.   Since being promoted to Associate, Annie has helped maintain the firm's reputation for advising on large farms and estates, while maintaining and developing existing client relationships. She also demonstrates expertise in a wide range of other matters, particularly renewables, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), and promotion and option agreements.  Annie has presented well at a number of seminars, she consistently supports BD events and she is also leading the project to improve the firm's environmental credentials. She is popular and well known around the firm and is good at supporting and guiding the junior fees earners in the team.  Annie's promotion to Senior Associate recognises her hard work and dedication in terms of client service as well as her overall contribution to the firm.

Christopher Bull – promoted to Salaried Partner

This is the third promotion for Chris since joining the firm in September 2019.  Chris has gained his Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients, his Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners' qualification, has taken his Association of Tax Technician exams and is now in the thick of his Chartered Tax Adviser exams.  Although Chris is an offshore specialist, he covers a wide range of advice and is very effective at crossing over with other teams.  He is excellent at building relationships with clients, referrers and everyone across the business.  This is a much-deserved promotion for a very popular member of the firm.
