29 July 2015

Wilsons acted for the charity respondents in the recent case of Ilott v Mitson, which has attracted a considerable amount of press coverage.

The Court of Appeal awarded Melita Jackson’s daughter the sum of £163,000 from her mother’s estate even though they had been estranged for 26 years before her death.

We have produced the attached guidance note on the case.
