Wilsons staff and clients enjoy a magical Summer Party

28 September 2022

We couldn't have hoped for a better evening for our Summer Party on 14th September with over 250 guests attending. The beautiful setting of Arundells in the Cathedral Close in Salisbury, sparkly trees and a wandering magician all made for a truly magical evening for our staff, clients and contacts.

Mike Parker, Managing Partner commented:

"It was a real pleasure be able to meet again with our clients, colleagues and contacts at our Summer Party. This was the first time we have been able to get together in person on such a scale since the pandemic, and it was great to catch up with old friends and welcome new faces. Amazingly, for many of those who joined our team in the last few years, it was their first external Wilsons function!

On a warm late summer's evening, Arundells in the Cathedral Close once again provided a perfect setting. Given the period of national mourning, we were also grateful to The Rt Revd Stephen Lake, Bishop of Salisbury, who led a moment of reflection for Her Late Majesty."

We also received some lovely feedback from guests in the days following the event. Here are a few examples:

"Thanks to you and your team for mounting yet another delightful evening at Arundells last Wednesday. Your skills in also choosing perfect weather remain outstanding as was the most generous hospitality offered to us all. The opportunity to share mutual business interests with both colleagues and clients in such a convivial manner was most valuable."

"Many thanks for the truly excellent party on Wednesday. Arundells is a real gem, and your hospitality arrangements were 1st class. Blessed with excellent weather, it all made for a most pleasant and memorable evening. Well done to all involved, it was a real credit to your firm."

"Many thanks to you and everyone at Wilsons for a lovely evening yesterday. Words from the Bishop and John Pitt-Brooke set the perfect tone between respect for HM The Queen and a summer party. It was an ideal and very pleasant environment to catch up with a number of people, and to hear about the good work of Wilsons."

"Thank you for a fantastic evening at Arundells last night.  You drew a serious crowd of wonderful people and looked after us amazingly well.  I saw some truly great people I have not seen for donkey’s years, such was the gravitas of the event."
