Wilsons support the Wiltshire Digital Drive

8 February 2021

Wiltshire Digital Drive is a Community Interest Company set up to refurbish and recycle donated laptops and gift back to the community to bridge the digital divide in our society.

From April to December 2020, 225 laptops were refurbished, recycled and donated to schools, charities, voluntary organisations, the local council and families in need. Their aim is to gift 10,000 laptops by 2023.

To help reach the 10,000 goal, Wilsons will be a drop off point for those wanting to donate their unwanted digital devices. The front doors to Alexandra House will be open every Monday and Wednesday between 11-1pm for you to safely donate your digital to the Wiltshire Digital Drive.

Mike Parker, Managing Partner, comments: "Given the huge benefit that recycling technology brings to the local community, the Wiltshire Digital Drive is a brilliant initiative.  We are delighted to support the Drive by using our office as a new drop off point and hope our city centre location will encourage generous donations of IT kit."
