Gareth is a Partner in our Charity Law & Governance team, bringing over a decade of experience advising charities and not-for-profit organisations across the sector. He provides strategic, pragmatic advice on a broad range of governance and commercial matters, supporting clients at every stage of their lifecycle.
His expertise spans the establishment and registration of new charities, incorporations and restructuring, mergers and collaborations, commercial contracts, fundraising arrangements, trading subsidiaries, and regulatory engagement with the Charity Commission. He has acted for a wide range of organisations, from large, household-name charities to small, community-based groups and tailors his approach to reflect each client’s objectives, scale and risk profile.
Gareth also has substantial experience advising sports clubs on governance, constitutional, and regulatory matters, with particular expertise in reviewing and implementing changes to legal structures and tax status to ensure long-term sustainability and compliance.
Gareth is a member of the Charity Law Association and a trustee of the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute.
In his spare time, Gareth likes to keep active, particularly by exploring the great outdoors and playing tennis
