Stephen Whitmore

Stephen is a consultant in our Corporate & Commercial team, and was a partner here for 26 years. Stephen went to Oxford University and trained at Freshfields in the City. He specialises in acquisitions and disposals of limited companies and businesses, but also looks after a "stable" of corporate clients, helping them with their commercial legal needs, including intellectual property advice and trademark registration. Stephen also acts for a number of charities, again on the commercial side. He has an estimated career deal value in excess of £300,000,000. 

Recent highlights

• Sale of Rowanmoor Group plc to Embark Group, acting for 37 shareholders;
• Legal advice on commercial contracts to the Chartered Institute of Taxation;
• Lead commercial legal advisor to Help for Heroes.

In his spare time Stephen daubs oil paint on canvasses, plays golf, sails boats, windsurfs,  runs, and plays tennis. He also has a substantial collection of ethnic brushes from all over the world.
