Jenifer comments: "Many professionals will have professional indemnity insurance (which is a must for certain regulated professionals such as solicitors or chartered accountants) and often an insurer will require a complaints procedure. It is usually best to put the complaint in writing (the procedure may require it). There will be an anticipated timescale for the professional’s response."
