The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of wealthy individuals transferring assets to avoid inheritance tax without the risk of sharing them with their spouses in the event of a divorce.

This article tells the story of Clive Standish, a retired banker, that went through a "much-anticipated" ruling, that ultimately meant that he would not have to split equally nearly £80 million given to his ex-wife, to try and mitigate the tax.
