The tenancies bill could create more problems than it solves (The Times)

Wilsons' Senior Partner, Peter Bourke, has been featured in The Times commenting on the Termination of Tenancies Bill, first proposed 15 years ago, which is being considered for re-introduction into the legislative agenda at a time of huge upheaval around commercial property.

Peter is the Chairman of the Property Litigation Association's law reform committee.

"Among other concerns about the bill are the alterations it makes to specialist procedures like agriculture and the additional powers given to courts to alter the terms of a private contract. The first is unnecessary and the second a dangerous intrusion on contractual agreements."
