Jane Ferguson

Jane is a solicitor in our Landowner Development & Planning Team specialising in planning law.  She joined Wilsons in 2010 as a consultant, having spent 25 years working for the Local Authority undertaking planning work.  Whilst working at the local council Jane was the Monitoring Officer dealing with ethics and conduct issues.  Her Local Authority work provided her with invaluable experience of general local government challenges and enforcement work.

Jane now deals with all aspects of planning law including Judicial Review, advertising control, local planning policy and planning appeals.  She also advises in connection with footpaths and rights of way, listed buildings and trees.  Jane has experienced considerable success when acting for residents opposed to traveller occupation of neighbouring land and also in connection with Village Green applications.

Outside of work, Jane is a trustee on the board of the Salisbury Arts Centre.  She is also a Saints fan and tries to get to St Mary's as often as she can.  Jane enjoys travelling and has put her legal skills to use in the US, helping to determine the admissibility of evidence in death row cases.
